The training profile

The aim of higher education at the FHDW is to provide students with an education that meets the real requirements of professional practice and the demands of academic study in order to enable them to achieve a high level of professional qualification in business management or information technology professions. With its range of courses, the FHDW trains its students to become economically adept, entrepreneurially minded, responsible personalities with human integrity in order to secure their own professional success and contribute to the success of companies, the economy and society. Practical orientation is a central value here.

The FHDW’s range of courses results in the following benefits for students and companies:

Benefits for the students

Students on the dual Bachelor’s degree courses spend up to 18 months in practice during the three-year Bachelor’s degree course (full-time). They prepare themselves specifically for their future work during their studies. The advantages of the dual study program offer students the best career entry and advancement opportunities because they lead to the qualification profile that is in demand by the hiring companies.

The part-time Master’s degree programs at the FHDW combine academic knowledge with practical professional know-how. They offer further professional qualification on the basis of a Bachelor’s degree or a diploma. In addition to a high level of professional qualification, social skills and organizational ability are also taught. The Master’s degree thus creates the necessary prerequisites for taking on special management tasks in the fields of business administration or IT.

FHDW students are optimally qualified for everyday working life, both professionally and personally.
